Lawns of Olympus

A mixture of haldi (turmeric) and oil is applied using mango leaves on the feet, shin, knees, hands, elbows, shoulders, cheeks, forehead and neck of the groom and bride. See Photos for Onkar's Haldi at home!

We are doing this with turmeric from 7:30am to 8:30am with the bride and groom together.

It will then be done with flowers for everyone at the venue to participate from 8:30am to 10am. You can wear yellow and shower the bride and groom in petals. We will also be having group photohgraphs.

Ganesh Temple to Mandapam

Jaana Vaasam is a function where the bridegroom and his family arrive in a parade in a beautifully decorated car. Onkar and his parents will begin their journey at the local Ganesha temple. After offering their prayers they will be accompanied to the mandapam in a procession. The procession will include music from a nadaswaram and colourful lights.

Nichchiyadhartham

17:30 to 19:00

Galaxy Hall

This is a repeat of the Tamil portion of Shruti and Onkar's engagement that occurred in October 2022.

The Nichchiyadhartham will be held on the evening of the 18th at the Galaxy Hall. The function will begin with Ganesh Pooja by Shruti's parents. The function ends with the priest reading the wedding invitation and announcing the timing and venue of the wedding. The ceremony will be followed by indoor group photographs.
